Seminary Co-Op

Seminary Co-Op and 57th Street Books are two independent, non-profit bookstores located in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago. Prior to the pandemic, these stores were known for offering a superb in-store browsing experience. However, the stores have closed due to the pandemic, and now rely solely on their ecommerce experience to survive. This has highlighted the difficulty of browsing books and finding information on their site and created the need for an information architecture redesign in order to recreate the in-store discovery experience digitally.
